CONTEXT

Administrative/Biographical history:

The church of Saint Michael and All Angels dates to 1828-29. The church is known as the Kentish Needle due to the tall, pointed spire. The parish was created in 1886, taken from part of the parish of Saint Luke's, Charlton.
