CONTEXT

Administrative/Biographical history:

The church of Saint Mark, Dalston, was constructed between 1864 and 1866, with a second phase of building between 1877 and 1880. It was designed by Chester Cheston and completed by E.L. Blackburne.

The parish has merged with that of Saint Bartholomew, Dalston Lane, Dalston.

Scope and content/abstract:

Records of the parish of Saint Mark, St Mark's Rise, Dalston, including registers of baptisms, marriages, banns, and confirmations; registers of church services and preachers; Vestry and Parochial Church Council minutes; and financial accounts.

Also records of the merged parish of Saint Mark and Saint Bartholomew, Dalston, including registers of baptisms, banns and church services; and Parochial Church Council minutes.
