Administrative/Biographical history:
Valens Comyn was Clerk to the Chamberlain of St Paul's Cathedral (for his appointment in 1732 see CLC/313/C/001/MS25630/19, f.282); Stephen Comyn later became Steward of the cathedral estates (in 1757; see CLC/313/C/001/MS25630/4, f.132) but none of these records relate to St Paul's.

These records include papers relating to the activities of Valens and Stephen Comyn as attorneys for the executor of Richard Marples, auditor to the Dean and Chapter of St Paul's Cathedral; and bills, cheques and receipts relating to the Comyn household.
