Formerly the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, the School of Physical Sciences and Engineering was established in 1992. The main academic departments currently incorporated within the School are: the Centre of Construction Law and Management, Chemistry, Computer Science, Division of Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Centre for Telecommunications Research, Mathematics, Physics and the Management Centre.

Information typically consists of a transcript of course components and marks, enrolment forms, some photographs, Universities Central Council on Admissions (UCCA) forms, modification of course forms and offer letters. System of arrangement:
Undergraduate and postgraduate files are arranged by year of leaving then alphabetically. Non-award students are arranged by year of entry, then alphabetically within each year. Late additions to the series are organised according to the year they were deposited in the Archives.
Conditions governing access:
Subject to an eighty year closure period from date of leaving, but may be consulted by the School Office and other College staff with permission from the Head of School.
Conditions governing reproduction:
Copies, subject to the condition of the original, can be supplied to School Office staff. Requests to publish original material should be submitted to the Director of Archive Services, King's College London.
