Administrative/Biographical history:

The Women's Research and Resources Centre (WRRC) was established in Jul 1975 as a library, information service and meeting place for people interested in developing Women's Studies, feminist research and the questions surrounding issues of sex equality and discrimination. In 1983 the name was changed to the Feminist Library.

Immediate source of acquisition:

The papers were donated to the Library in 1983 (5WRR/B and 5WRR/C). The papers of Pat Caplan (7PAC) contained material relating to WRRC (now 5WRR/A) donated to the Library in 2004 which were transferred in Jun 2008.

The Women's Library also holds: papers of Pat Caplin (7PAC); Records of the London Feminist History Group (5LFH); and records of the Feminist & Women's Studies Association (5FWS). The Women's Library Printed Collections holds the Women's Research and Resources Centre (WRRC) newsletter, other Women's Liberation periodicals, press cuttings and ephemera relating to WRRC.
