Context

Administrative/Biographical history:

Yiewsley Methodist Church moved in 1927 to Central Hall, Fairfield Road, which replaced an older building used since 1873 by the small Primitive Methodist Congregation. Central Hall was extended and renovated in 1959. In 1969, the site was redeveloped to include a smaller church, which opened in 1973. During the redevelopment services were held in a temporary church.

Records of Yiewsley Methodist Church including marriage registers, 1932-1947; baptism register, 1914-1961; Trustees' Meetings minutes, 1891-1972; Trustees' papers and correspondence, 1937-1973; Trustees' Treasurer's Accounts, 1876-1908 and 1951-1980; Leaders' meetings minutes, 1930-1970; Finance Committee minutes, 1965-1969; collection journals, 1894-1903 and 1927-1946; pulpit notices, 1914-1948; Young Disciples' Roll, 1954 and 1961; and order of service programmes and leaflets, 1927-1977.
