Log book of Townmead Road School Girls' Department, 1913-1936, with enclosures: newspaper reports of sports day and Empire Day celebrations, 1933; notes on sporting achievements and other activities, possibly intended to be entered in log book and photographs of celebrations, possibly May Day or Empire Day.

As this log-book was not transferred to the Record Office by the school or the current, or even a past, local education authority for the area, it has been treated as a `stray' (that is having left official custody) and listed separately from the main series. Surrey Record Office former reference: TD1305.

Immediate source of acquisition:

Volume deposited by the Area Education Officer, Surrey North West Area, 31 March 1987 (via Surrey Record Office).
