Buzzacott and Company is a firm of chartered accountants based at 12 Fetter Lane, formed out of numerous predecessor firms.
Down and Harper was formed from the partnership of A N Harper and H E Down in 1945, and became Down, Son and Harper on Down's son's qualification and entry into the partnership in 1952. They were based at 44 Bow Lane. Their successor firms merged with Watson, O'Regan and Company, Buzzacott, Lillywhite and Company and Vincent and Goodrich to form Buzzacott and Company in 1971.

Scope and content/abstract:
Records of clients of the predecessor accountancy firms of Buzzacott and Company, chartered accountants. The records comprise financial material (ledgers, journals, cash books and accounts) for the following companies: Campbell Oil Engine Company; Croydon Automobile Company; Down, Son and Harper; Noble Enterprises; Scott Trust; and Tubal Cain Foundry and Engine Works.

In 1991 Buzzacott and Company deposited records of various clients of their predecessor firms at Guildhall Library. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.
