This led to the creation in 1970 of the Department of Sociology and Psychology that aimed to cover work in social and behavioural sciences, including a postgraduate course in Social Work Studies and a two-year MSc course, which also led to the Certificate of Qualification in Social Work. The Department Sociology and Psychology was closed at the end of 1983.
