Digital Preservation for Small-to-Large Institutions—Breakfast Panel Session with Roundtable
9:30am-12:30pm (Breakfast 9:30-10am), Tuesday the 21st of January 2025
Third Floor Suite, Stationers’ Hall, Ave Maria Lane, London, EC4M 7DD
AIM25, in association with Max Communications, warmly invites you to a breakfast panel session and discussion on the theme of Digital Preservation for Small to Large Institutions.
Digital Preservation concerns all organisations who hold and manage digital assets. However, getting started on implementing a digital preservation strategy can be daunting. This panel discussion will give historical archives and cultural institutions an introduction to some of the key themes around the question of digital preservation, including thinking broadly about future-proofing your digital collections, identifying at-risk assets, making the business case for the digital preservation of Archives and considering systems for managing preservation. The session will include a preview of Soteria+ — an SaaS solution being introduced by Max Communications. There will also be an opportunity to share experiences and network with other Archives professionals from AIM25 and beyond.
Whether you are just starting out on your digital preservation journey, or are already running a programme, this event will provide a practical and fascinating update on current thinking and practice.
