CONTEXT

Administrative/Biographical history:

The church of Saint Saviour was constructed in 1855-56. A parish was assigned from part of the parish of Saint James, Sussex Gardens (P87/JS). A chancel was added in 1883-84. The church was replaced by a smaller, modern building in 1976.

Records of the parish of Saint Saviour, Warwick Avenue, Paddington, including registers of baptisms, banns, marriages and confirmations; registers of church services; Vestry and Parochial Church Council minutes; papers relating to the maintenance of the church fabric including committee minutes, faculties and plans; papers relating to Saint Saviour's School.
