CONTEXT
Administrative/Biographical history:
Saint Anne's originated as a chapel of ease to the ancient parish church of Saint Mary. It was known as South Lambeth Chapel. A parish was assigned to the church in 1869, taken from part of the parish of Saint Mark, Kennington. In 1876 the church was rebuilt. Further rebuilding was necessary in 1958 following some bomb damage during the Second World War.

Records of the parish of Saint Anne, South Lambeth, including registers of baptisms and marriages; church services registers; deed of settlement for South Lambeth Chapel; financial records; papers relating to the maintenance of church buildings, including plans and faculties; papers relating to Eldon School; and maps of the parish.
