Scope and content/abstract:

Manuscript Mahzor containing Jewish festival prayers for the whole year according to the Italian rite, with some additional prayers and ceremonies. On the last two leaves there are signatures of censors: Jacob Geraldino, 1555; Caesar Bellicosus, undated; Camillo Jaghel, 1619; Antonio Franc Enrique, 1688.

Physical characteristics:

Vellum, bound in faded crimson velvet (original metal corners and centre have been stripped off). Superscriptions and commencing words painted in gold and illuminated. Title page illuminated in gold and various colours, and including at the bottom the coat of arms of a Kohen.
