Letter from J Johnson of 13 Oxford Terrace, [? Hyde Park, London] to an unknown recipient [? Mr Trevelyan], 5 Nov 1842. Thanking him for his congratulations on Johnson's appointment; accepting an invitation for the following day, when he will explain the nature of his duties. He had been unable to gain tidings of the recipient when enquiring only a week ago. Sending kind regards to Mrs Trevelyan. Autograph, with signature.
