On the establishment of the National Health Service in 1948 the North West Metropolitan Regional Hospital Board formed the South West Middlesex Hospital Management Committee to manage and administer the hospitals in this area. Records of the West Middlesex University Hospital and associated hospitals, 1841-1993, including Brentford Hospital, Chiswick Maternity Hospital, Hounslow Hospital, Saint John's Hospital, Twickenham, South Middlesex Hospital and the South West Middlesex Hospital Management Committee. Papers include committee minutes, reports, admission and discharge registers and other patient records, nursing and staffing records, rules and regulations, financial records, photographs, prospectuses and leaflets.
