Administrative/Biographical history:

The Greenwich and Deptford Group of hospitals was established in 1948 to administer the Miller Hospital and Saint Alfege's Hospital within the South East Regional Hospitals Board. It was replaced by the Regional and District Health Authorities in 1974 with National Health Service reorganisation.
