'Journal of Samuel Holmes of a Voyage to China and Tartary, 1792-1793, during his attendance, as one of the guard, on Lord Macartney's Embassy to China'. The original manuscript of the book published in 1795. Also a letter dated Reading 7 December 1799 from Holmes to Sir William Young.
