Administrative/Biographical history:

Wandsworth Circuit was created in 1864 out of the old Hammersmith Circuit. It comprised churches in Putney, Wandsworth High Street and Wandsworth Bridge Road. In 1951 it was renamed the Wandsworth and Fulham circuit and was joined by Methodist churches in Munster Park and Fulham. In 1968 a new church was opened in Roehampton. The circuit closed in 1969 and the constituent churches redistributed to the Hammersmith, Richmond and Hounslow, and Broomwood and Clapham circuits

Wandsworth Bridge Road Church, Fulham closed in 1968.

Records of the Wandsworth and Fulham Circuit including papers of Quarterly meetings, 1958-1969; Circuit Steward's account books and day books, 1949-1969; minute book of the Invitation Committee, later the General Purposes Committee, 1959-1969; financial accounts, 1963-1969; papers concerning closure of the Circuit, 1967-1969; papers concerning administration of the Manse and Roehampton Christian Community Centre, 1963-1969; correspondence, 1962-1969; Circuit preaching plans, 1949-1969; Trustees' meetings minute book, 1928-1968 and Sunday School minute book, 1956-1965.

Also year books of the Wandsworth Bridge Road Church, Fulham, Wandsworth Circuit, 1908-1913.

These records were brought together by the last Superintendent Minister of the Wandsworth and Fulham circuit, and left in the vestry of Putney Methodist Church.
