Administrative/Biographical history:

The North Woolwich Undertaking was founded in 1850. It was taken over in 1858 by the Victoria Docks Gas Company, which was in turn taken over by the Gas Light and Coke Company in 1871.

Records of the North Woolwich Undertaking, comprising papers relating to a messuage called "the Gallions" and 115 acres in North Woolwich, and 10 acres in the parish of Barking, 1774-1801.
