Administrative/Biographical history:

Borough Synagogue was situated at Vowler Street, Walworth Road, S.E. The synagogue was admitted as a Constituent member of the United Synagogue in 1873. It amalgamated with Brixton Synagogue in 1961.

Scope and content/abstract:

Records of Borough Synagogue, consisting of registers of kethubot [marriage contracts], lists of seat holders, chalitza book, financial accounts, and minute books including Burial Society minute book.
