Administrative/Biographical history:

The New University Club was open to graduates of the Universities of Oxford or Cambridge. It was founded in 1864 and was situated at 57 St James's Street. In 1938 it merged with another club for Oxford and Cambridge graduates, the United University Club.

Scope and content/abstract:

Plans of the New University Club, St James's Street, by Richardson and Gill, architects. While the plans are not dated, it is possible to estimate that they were produced between 1906 and 1938 as the architectural partnership of Richardson and Gill were in operation between these dates.
