Douglas Cecil Collins received his PhD from the University of London in 1938 on The collection and dissemination of news during the time of Shakespeare, with particular reference to news pamphlets 1590-1610.

The collection consists of miscellaneous manuscript and typescript notes, 1938, on news pamphlets during the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries.
