Context
Administrative/Biographical history:
Stewart entered the Navy in 1890 and joined the BOADICEA, flagship of the East Indies Station, in 1892. He transferred to the BONAVENTURE in 1894 and in the following year to the ACTIVE, training squadron. For the remainder of his career he served mainly in the Mediterranean, retiring with the rank of Commander in 1920.

Scope and content/abstract:
Papers of Archibald Thomas Stewart. They consist of two logs, 1892 to 1896, as well as documents collected by Stewart. These include some letters received by Lord Charles Beresford, 1886 to 1889, and a small manuscript booklet entitled 'Reasons by the officers of the Brunswick for leaving the fleet, 1st June 1794'.
