Nicholas Abbott of Uxbridge was a malster, while his son William Abbott (fl. 1677-84) was a victualler. Edward Powell of Uxbridge (fl 1791) was a carpenter who had 6 children.

Papers relating to premises in Uxbridge owned successively by the Abbott and Powell families. Documents include marriage settlement, bonds, fines, releases, leases, assignments, and certificates of baptism, marriage and burial.
