Context

Administrative/Biographical history:

The property in Paddington was owned by Daniel Tidey, Westbourne Grove, Paddington, builder, in the 1850s. The premises then passed into the ownership of the Reverend T Blockley.

F P Morrell took over property in Spitalfields from Reverend L L Sharpe of Brixton. F P Morrell lived at Black-Hall, Oxford and was the coroner for the University.

Records relating to property, especially deeds for 31 Leinster Gardens, Paddington (formerly No. 20). Also some papers relating to houses at White Hart Lane, Tottenham and 4-8 Booth Street, Spitalfields, owned by the Morrell family.

The collection was originally catalogued into categories of Morrell family papers and the [solicitor] firm's dealings with its clients. Among the collection were a number of strays which related to London and Middlesex. Apart from one set of twenty items relating to 31 Leinster Gardens, Paddington, the rest of the collection is of miscellaneous material.
