Scope and content/abstract:
Volume entitled A Feasibility Study for a Military Engineering Museum at Fort Amherst, Chatham, 26 October 1972; compiled by a working party from the Royal School of Military Engineering including Lt Col Paul Nicholas Mason. Includes discussion of need for an open air museum dedicated to a comprehensive exhibition of military engineering techniques and equipment; development of the site; conservation of Fort Amherst; exhibits required for the museum; costs and fundraising; sponsorship; staffing and diagrams including a plan of the tunnels.
