Administrative/Biographical history:

Tom Turner was an official in the British Post Office, and a poet and short story writer. His substantial collection of books, mainly poetry but including some fiction and other prose, is now held in the library of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.


Scope and content/abstract:

Letter from Tom Turner of Shawlands, Bank Crest, Baildon, Yorkshire to [Thomas] Sturge Moore, 20 Dec 1943. Covering note accompanying a copy of a book of poems by Lionel Johnson, as 'a little reminder of the 1890's'. Autograph, with signature.
