Dr Francis Blacklay MA, MB, BChir, FRCGP (b 1919) was a general practitioner in Nantwich, Cheshire.


Scope and content/abstract:

History of the joint practice of Drs Blacklay and Turner, and records including articles of partnership, 1922-1969, financial records, 1917-1977, visits registers, 1930-1971, and minutes of practice meetings, 1960-1976.

The majority of these records were received from Dr Blacklay in April and July 1995. The memoir by Dr Blacklay's partner, J.R.T. Turner, was received via Dr Michael Bevan of the Wellcome Unit for the History of Medicine, Oxford. Accession Number 566.
