Administrative/Biographical history:

Thomas Wilson, of the Oaks, Tenterden, Kent, was a medical student at one of the London Hospitals in the late 18th century. A note at the front of the volume states that he had two daughters who died unmarried, and a brother, Edward Wilson, DD.

Papers of Thomas Wilson, mid to late 18th century, comprising a volume containing notes by Wilson, of lectures given by John Hunter. Including notes on astronomical and mathematical topics, c 1854.

Archival history:

The volume was passed from Thomas Wilson to his children, and upon their death and the death of his brother, his possessions passed to his nephew, the Reverend Richard Turner. Upon the death of Reverend Richard Turner the volumes passed to his son, Edward Turner, Rector of Haresfield. Shortly before the death of Edward Turner (1872), he gave the manuscript volume to Charles Leeson Prince.
