UKAT

AIM25 now hosts and manages the UK Archival Thesaurus – the principal subject thesaurus used in the United Kingdom since its inception in 2003. UKAT is a hierarchical controlled vocabulary of subject terms used by archivists to standardise access to archive catalogues. Many of its terms are used to ‘tag’ AIM25 catalogue descriptions, but it is also used more widely to ensure consistent terminology and greater visibility for public archive catalogues.
